Features and Capabilities
FocalServer is a great tool to monitor a cluster of GSC, using standard JMX .
Current version is not very flexible and does not provide a facility to administrate a cluster of spaces.
Therefore, administrators need significant amount of knowledge/steps to successfully use this tool.
This project will enhance FocalServer by allowing better configurability and providing a JConsole plugin to facilitate cluster monitoring and administration.
Administrators will be able to choose the:
- relevant MBean to be remotely monitored
- local name of those MBean
- relationships between those MBean
JConsole plugin will provide a facility to:
- monitor a cluster (focused on processes)
- monitor data integrity for replicated spaces
- check/modify replication channels
- facilitate notification registration based on common triggers (memory, cpu)
